My interest in alternative health methods began many years ago when I was facing challenges with my own health and happiness and was witnessing others going through similar situations. I looked to yoga, holistic nutrition, and the power of nature to find my way back to a state of peace.
I began practicing Kundalini Yoga in 2012 which led me to become a certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor in 2017. Kundalini Yoga has helped me develop my confidence, self-worth, and understanding of life. It’s a way for me to balance myself mentally, physically, and emotionally while giving me the spiritual connection I have always longed for. Kundalini Yoga has also helped me to become much more aware of myself and the patterns I create in my life and I am very grateful to have the opportunity to help others do the same.

Hi ! I’m Emma. I am a student, a teacher, and a lover of learning. I am a Canadian currently living out of Buffalo, NY, and I couldn’t be more in love with the community and support that has surrounded me here. My goal is to bring people together, to create deeper connection and to support people in their brave quest to find their most authentic, human, Self. I have trained as a D1 track and field athlete for the previous 6 years at the University at Buffalo, where I met humans (coaches, friends, mentors) who have forever changed me.
After graduating with my M.A. in Philosophy and competing in what I knew was my final track and field competition, I took my yoga teacher training in Buffalo with Evolation and my profound interest in human experiences, (what it’s like to be in a body, to BE a body, what it means to be human, how we express emotion, how we “cope”, why we need to- to name a few examples), was ignited in a new way, revealing a new path before me. My certainty, purpose, and exponential curiosity has never felt so blazing, and I am blessed and humbled to be bringing energy and love to this beautiful city and the humans who call it home. Bikram Yoga Teacher
Hi guys, I’ve been practicing Bikram yoga for the last 5 years and I want to share my love of the practice with you. I come from a background playing team sports, professional racquetball and jet ski racing at the highest level, and this practice has changed my life. People always say I’m not flexible enough to do yoga, and my answer is if you have two legs and two arms, be grateful and start practicing yoga, you’re never to old or inflexible to start Bikram, it’s meant for beginners and you go at your own pace.
I’ve put a lot of miles on my body and I began to experience aches and pains from my back to my knees and my feet. The Bikram practice helped me with those physical issues and it enables me to keep my flexibility and strength as I get older. I work full time helping youth find jobs and on my spare time you will find me teaching or in a Bikram yoga class sweating my butt off. Bikram Yoga + Aerial Yoga Teacher
Since my first yoga class in 2004, The Bikram Yoga method has been at the foundation of my personal practice. I became a certified Bikram Yoga instructor in 2007 and have been teaching full-time since. I also love to explore different types of movement and am was drawn to the Aerial Silks. In 2014 I completed my Aerial Yoga teacher training under the guidance of Suzzanne Hennig creator of the Zero-Gravity Aerial Yoga method. Being in the silks is a playful and deeply opening practice that encourages trust and letting go. There are so many options ranging from relaxing to very active acrobatic type movements that will be explored in the different class options. Most of all, I love how this practice brings out the inner child in myself and everyone who gets into the silks!
Stacey Harris started practicing yoga at an authentic yoga studio called Shakti in the small town of Chatham. Her passion for yoga started to grow after realizing the benefits of yoga mentally, physically and spiritually. It was inspiring to find peace and contentment on the mat in such a fast paced Society. Stacey had the desire to travel to the Himalayas in India to study different asanas, mantras, breathing exercises, meditation techniques and visualization skills. Stacey resided in an Ashram in Rishikesh, India in 2014. She obtained her certificate to teach holistic Akhanda Yoga and returned to Shakti to teach until 2016.
Stacey decided to move to Hamilton to continue her career as a Social Worker, attend McMaster University for addiction studies and pursue additional yoga training. She has a passion to continue learning to expand her knowledge and skills to strengthen her practice and teach others. She is currently enrolled into another 200 hour flow yoga teacher training. Stacey has found yoga can be healing for many individuals that struggle with addictions, anxiety and other stressful events. Stacey enjoys teaching her students to stay in the present moment and breathe to dive into deeper self-reflection to find inner peace. Stacey also enjoys practicing doga during her free time with her puppy named Santosha. She has mastered downward dog.
Kids Yoga Teacher
Heather’s yoga journey began in 2002 seeking balance in a busy life! By 2005 she completed her Kid’s Yoga Teacher Training with Maalaa of Gabriola Island’s ‘The Yoga Tree’. In 2006 she completed her 200+ YTT with Ron Reid and Diane Bruni at Downward Dog in Toronto. Since then she’s gone on to complete further specializations in Restorative, Street Yoga, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Mindfulness (with Mindfulness Without Borders), and most recently, Yoga Nidra. Last year she also offered a 30 hour Kids’ YTT, and looks forward to training more ambassadors of healthy, happy children!
Teaching children yoga allows Heather to combine her multiple passions! Teaching, writing, singing, and encouraging small humans to be as big as their beautiful, shining hearts!
Kids of all ages can look forward to learning about their breath and their bodies, as well as cultivate social emotional awareness through songs, stories, games and fun!
Originally from Nebraska, Joshua began studying and practicing yoga in 2006 while a graduate student at the University of Michigan. From a young age, Joshua was constantly active in sports across the spectrum, from team sports like baseball and soccer through gymnastics and diving. During his college years, however, academics began to take precedence while his physical activity fell by the wayside. Recognizing a huge deficit in his life, and through a renewed interest in transpersonal psychology, Joshua found his way to a Hatha yoga practice. He immediately fell in love. However, a core need for a greater intensity in practice saw Joshua soon gravitate to a regular study of Bikram yoga, where he has made his primary yogic home since 2008. Alongside Bikram, Joshua has explored various traditions including Hatha, Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Kundalini, and more recently Vinyasa Flow, where he is currently completing his first 200 hour yoga certification.
Joshua remains an avid sportsman, is an active competitive diver, and is constantly on the lookout for ways to expand his physical, mental, and spiritual growth as well as learn to help others along their own paths. He is currently completing his Peer Support Worker training with the Mental Health Rights Coalition of Hamilton to work with those suffering from mental health disorders and addiction, and is a regular practitioner of Zen Buddhism and Tai Chi.
PHILIPPA (PIP) HERITAGE
Hi yogis! I came to yoga a little later in life (my 40th Year) after 25 years of long distance running had left my body scarred and broken. I found my mat through Bikram yoga and quickly discovered the healing and balancing properties of a consistent yoga practice. Since then I have come to love and practice all yoga methods and now include Bikram, vinyasa, yin and restorative yoga in my practice schedule. In my mind all yoga methods draw their wisdom from the same deep well of knowledge.
I completed both vinyasa and restorative teacher trainings in 2017 and I’m excited to share with you what I have been taught.
My favourite posture is currently ustrasana (camel pose), a powerful stress reliever and heart opening pose.
Yin Yoga Teacher, Prenatal Yoga + Hypnobirthing
This being said, Erin’s true passion now lies in prenatal wellness, and she is specialized as such, in all of her various modalities. Being able to share in that creative process within a person’s life is so magical, that she counts it as a blessing to be welcomed in.
Yin Yoga Teacher
Rosanne was led to Yoga for its healing qualities. Yoga has played a great part in easing pain from arthritis as well as keeping depression and anxiety away. She has completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha-Vinyasa Yoga and continued her teaching education in Restorative, Yin and Kids Yoga.
Her interest for alternative healing has also led her to complete a level 2 in Reiki. She is currently studying Addictions and Mental Health at Mohawk College. In her ‘other life’ she is busy enjoying life with her husband and two kids. Rosanne also works at Mohawk College in Accessible learning Services and is constantly inspired by the energy and ambition of the students.
Aerial Yoga, Kids Yoga + Sound Healing
As a Reiki Master and 200 hr Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher, Molly has followed the Yogini’s path since a young age. She emanates a true purity of being, and has the rare gift of helping others connect to their power through Mother Earth. Once a provincial level gymnast, Molly first fell in love with the asana and acrobatic side of Yoga. However, as her practice progressed, so did her love for the spiritual side of Yoga. She began to recognize many of the therapeutic benefits Yoga has for the mind as well as the Spirit.
Molly has studied from many different teachers and traditions, including Kundalini, Ashtanga, Aerial, Hatha, and even Shamanism and various forms of energy healing. She is also a trained circus artist specializing on the aerial silks and hoop, performing many at many shows and events in the Hamilton area. With love and great respect, she guides her students to be fully connected with their inner radiance and purpose.
