MELANIE LOURENCO

MELANIE LOURENCO

Creative Director/Owner + Yoga Teacher

Hi! I’m Melanie Lourenco, creative director and owner of Circle Studios Yoga + Art. This space came to life inspired by a need to expand the yoga studio model outside of adult only yoga spaces to embrace the many facets of well-being through movement, creative expression, body/energy work and mental health for all ages.

I have a degree in Fine Arts from Queen’s University and have been an artist all my life, exploring creativity as an important tool for personal growth. I have been teaching yoga since 2007 (Fall Hawaii) and have extensive training in The Original Hot Yoga method originally with the Bikram Yoga College (500H), and studying with Evolation Yoga (200H). I have trained in Aerial Yoga with Suzanne Hennig, creator of the Zero-Gravity Method and in the Aerial Yoga Goddess Method and have been a student of Ayurveda since receiving certification in Abhyanga Massage in India 2011.

Connecting with people and witnessing the positive impact of mindful movement + creative wellness practices in their lives is one of the greatest blessings of this life! I look forward to meeting you and being of service on your journey.

JACQUELINE VALLEE

JACQUELINE VALLEE

Gentle Hatha + Vinyasa Flow + Inferno Hot Pilates

Hi! My name is Jacqueline Vallee. I started my yoga journey more than 10 years ago and have been a certified yoga instructor since 2019. In the beginning, I turned to yoga simply to heal from physical injuries I had sustained during my time as a competitive boxer. I was drawn to the hot room, fast paced, flow style practices. I enjoyed the physical feeling and mindset of still getting a workout and not worrying about any long term, physical impact it would have on my body. It did not take me long to discover yoga also serves as an outlet for stress and a tool to become calmer and more grounded in my everyday life. As my understanding and appreciation of yoga grew, so did my array of practices. My physical self still needed the hot power flows, but my mental and emotional sides craved the gentle classes and yin practices.

Very quickly, yoga became an integral part of my life and I found myself habitually on my mat 4-5 times a week. When I moved to Hamilton in 2015, I jumped right into the incredible yoga community that exists in this city. In 2018, I knew it was time to grow this passion into a purpose. I completed my 200HR certificate in 2019 and began teaching immediately.

I believe life is all about balance and I enjoy teaching a balance of class styles such as fit flow, vinyasa flow, hatha and yin. I look forward to connecting deeper with you at the Circle studios community. See you on your mat!

DUSTIN VIELER

DUSTIN VIELER

Yoga Teacher

I found yoga in the summer of 2014. My chiropractor had recommended on numerous occasions over a period of years that I take up yoga for tight hips and neck pain. I finally gathered up the courage to go and try one of her classes and I was immediately hooked. That one class immediately led to 3-4 times a week of practice which turned into a daily practice not long after.I have studied a variety of yoga styles over the past few years. I have certification in Traditional Hatha/Vinyasa, Forrest Yoga, Yin and Restorative. I am very drawn to the Classic 84 practice and Bikram style in which I have also been studying and have completed Jedi Fight Club Training. My favourite styles of yoga to teach are Classic Hatha and Vinyasa, in which students will find a very unique blend of both Jedi Fight Club and Forrest Yoga methods. Be prepared to be taken out of your comfort zone in my workshops and classes, as well as come with an open mind to some unique ideas and methods you don’t see in the everyday yoga class.

ALYSHA PACHECO

ALYSHA PACHECO

Vinyasa, IHP, Pilates

Hi there!
I discovered yoga while living in Europe pursuing my professional dance career. I was recovering from an injury and found that time on the mat was challenging and soothing in the right ways.

Eventually I was motivated to deepen my practice and enrolled in a 200YTT program in Barcelona.
In 2017, I hung up my dance shoes, returned to Toronto, and have been teaching ever since.
My diverse movement background sets the foundation for my classes. I love creative sequences with added strength work, incorporating moments of surrender, and always crafting playlists to help inspire fluidity and connection to breath.

LAURA BELANGER

LAURA BELANGER

Vinyasa, Gentle, Yin Yang

Hello! My name is Laura and yoga found me in my teens as part of my ballet training. When life happened, I put my practice aside for a little while but I came back to my mat to heal from a trauma. I learned through yoga that I can do anything one breath at a time and I took that lesson off the mat and it changed my life, my attitude and how I view others and myself.

I made the decision to deepen my practice and took my first 200 hour training in 2019. I followed this with another 500 hour training and started to specialize in trauma informed yoga, which is where my passion is. In teaching, I became the most authentic version of me.

With a background in dance, I love feeling each movement in my body, which is why I enjoy teaching a flow class and moving in and out of poses, as well as flowing inside a pose. I also really love teaching yin, yoga nidra and restorative as they are such wonderful healing practices. To give the gift of a practice to allow someone to find a moment of peace or calm is such a beautiful and sacred thing and I am honoured every time you show up and allow me to guide you. Hope to see you on the mat to find breath and movement!

KATHERINE ALDE

KATHERINE ALDE

Hot Yoga Teacher

Hello friends!
My name is Katherine and I began practicing hot yoga in the summer of 2012. After a few really hard classes, I became hooked with the challenge! I fell in love with the intensity of the heat, the detox and stretch that came with it. The series of yoga postures and the benefits they would provide for my body; both physically and mentally!

In the fall of 2013, I attended the 9 week Bikram Yoga teacher training in Los Angeles, California. This was a pivotal moment in my life and I’m forever grateful for the teachings I received from the many yoga teachers I came in contact with during that time.

Teaching yoga is something I was meant to do. I love motivating people to practice something I’m also so passionate about. I look forward to guiding you through your stretch and sweat. Take time for yourself, but remember to have fun. When all else fails, smile!

EMMA SIUCAK

EMMA SIUCAK

Hot + Vinyasa Yoga

Hi ! I’m Emma. I am a student, a teacher, and a lover of learning. I am a Canadian currently living out of Buffalo, NY, and I couldn’t be more in love with the community and support that has surrounded me here. My goal is to bring people together, to create deeper connection and to support people in their brave quest to find their most authentic, human, Self. I have trained as a D1 track and field athlete for the previous 6 years at the University at Buffalo, where I met humans (coaches, friends, mentors) who have forever changed me.

After graduating with my M.A. in Philosophy and competing in what I knew was my final track and field competition, I took my yoga teacher training in Buffalo with Evolation and my profound interest in human experiences, (what it’s like to be in a body, to BE a body, what it means to be human, how we express emotion, how we “cope”, why we need to- to name a few examples), was ignited in a new way, revealing a new path before me. My certainty, purpose, and exponential curiosity has never felt so blazing, and I am blessed and humbled to be bringing energy and love to this beautiful city and the humans who call it home. I can’t wait to share intention, space, and love with all of you. See you on the mat <3

JACKIE BROWN

JACKIE BROWN

Inferno Hot Pilates Teacher

My name is Jackie Brown and my healing journey began in 2007 in an effort to heal discomfort caused by early onset of osteoarthritis, aches and pains from a car accident, years of running, endless hours in the event and restaurant industry and back surgery. I was in search of a more physical holistic approach to build strength and avoid further surgeries. I was immediately drawn to the benefits of Bikram yoga but found myself craving other workouts but found most of them difficult with all my aches, pains and injuries. Then I was magically introduced to Inferno Hot Pilates in June 2017. Great! It’s a HOT HIIT style class but without all the jumping and jarring movements I found so painful. You work all parts of your body, it’s in the heat (my favourite) and there is a modification for everything… so no excuses. So after taking 3-4 classes a week for almost a year I took the plunge and completed teacher training in May 2018. I believe in and love this class and if I can do it with my old broken body so can you, so join me and be the best you, you can be!!!

ALICIA GIANETTI

ALICIA GIANETTI

Vinyasa + Restorative Yoga

Yoga entered Alicia’s life in 2011 when her sister gifted her a yoga mat that had images of different asanas on it. Alicia started to practice on her own, following her yoga mat. During this time, Alicia was touched by the death of her grandmother and found herself questioning the meaning of life and death. This curiosity led her to study Religious Studies with a focus on Buddhism at McMaster University. Throughout university Alicia started to attend in person yoga classes and once completing university, Alicia became more consistent with her practice. After attending weekly classes and completing many 30 day challenges, she dove right in. She completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2019. She then completed her Kid’s Yoga Teacher Training. She enjoys teaching Vinyasa, Yin, Yin Yang, and Restorative classes.

Yoga has transformed and continues to transform Alicia’s life. She is forever a student first and teacher second. Witnessing people’s growth on and off their mat is her biggest passion. She is here to be a guide to connect you to your mind, body, and breath while you reach your highest potential with love, joy, and compassion.

RACHEL GORDON

RACHEL GORDON

Rachel began her yoga journey in 2011 while tree planting in Northern Ontario.  She connected deeply with yogic methods which aim to connect and heal the body, mind, and soul through movement.  She took these ideas home and continued to explore and grow her own practice, falling in love with the balance of creativity and discipline vinyasa offered.

Rachel has training in Vinyasa and Aerial Yoga.  Rachel’s approach is grounded in mindfulness and personal growth. She strives to create approachable creative classes where students feel empowered to challenge themselves and deepen their practice both on and off the mat.  Rachel also leads the monthly Paint Nite workshops facilitating a friendly environment where students can express themselves through art!  When Rachel isn’t in the studio, she can be found walking her dogs, painting in her studio, or hanging from her aerial silk.
